Preparing the reader…
A generation’s rejection of an old container is not necessarily a rejection of the truth it once carried. Sometimes the message remains life-giving while its language, presentation, or delivery has become inaccessible. Faithfulness requires enough discernment to recognize the difference.
The Church is never authorized to dilute revelation to make it easier to swallow. But neither are we permitted to defend a broken vessel merely because previous generations used it. Innovation becomes sacred when it restores access without contaminating the source.
Repair the vessel. Preserve the water. Let ancient truth travel through disciplined, contemporary forms without losing its weight, clarity, or authority.
